We were recently invited to present at the 14th Annual Academic Conference of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China (NFsoc), July 28-30 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China.
John McFeaters of SysCAD and Chen Yuguo (Alex) of the Shenyang Aluminum & Magnesium Engineering & Research Institute (SAMI) presented on “Marginal Cost Analysis in Process Decision Making”.
The presentation detailed the use of modelling to determine the effect of process settings and equipment condition on raw materials and energy consumption, and how that information can be leveraged to allocate maintenance resources while optimising production.
Attended by over 1,500 industry professionals, this biennial interdisciplinary academic exchange, hosted by NFsoc and co-organised by SAMI, focuses on the advancement of nonferrous metal technologies and the growing needs for green and high-quality innovation.
