It was a pleasure to attend the UPLift 2025 conference in Saskatoon, Canada. The meeting featured many inspiring talks from industry leaders and innovators, showcasing new technologies and advances in operations, and was a great opportunity to connect with friends and colleagues.
Special thanks to everyone who attended our presentation, “Uranium Solvent Extraction using Thermodynamic Modelling with Strong Acid Stripping”. This work demonstrated a modelling approach where the uranium extraction circuit was simulated using an extended minteq.v4.dat PHREEQC database to handle highly variable feed compositions, while measured isotherms were applied for the more consistent acid stripping step.
This presentation by Kevin Heppner builds on content previously shared at ALTA 2022.
A big thank you to the organisers – MetSoc, CMP, and the many volunteers – for making this event such a success!
